The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4

The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians

Chapter 4

¹ Masters, treat your slaves justly and fairly, for you know that you also have a Master in heaven.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verse 1)

Oh, employers of all nations rich and poor, I pray that You pay heed to this scripture. In this world, many injustices are taking place especially when it comes to employing migrants and asylum seekers. Employees need not negotiate their wages, with their bosses but are to be given what is due to them according to the law. Amen, for as much as we are Employees are subject to our Bosses, they are directly subject to You my God and Father Amen.

² Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verse 2)

Oh God my sacred Father, I thank You for giving me these guidelines on how my prayers are to be, they are to be constant and based on Thanksgiving. Every day of my life I am to thank You for all the blessings and miracles that You have done throughout every day of my life Amen.

³ At the same time pray for us as well that God will open to us a door for the word, that we may declare the mystery of Christ, for which I am in prison, ⁴ so that I may reveal it clearly, as I should.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verses 3 and 4)

Oh God my Father, I pray that You send me more opportunities where I can spread Your Word both online and offline, I pray that You send me more followers both from Twitter, G+ and even facebooks and other social networks Amen. I also pray that You make me stronger in Spirit, so that I can overcome this body and its desires which is the prison of the soul Amen.

⁵ Conduct yourselves wisely towards outsiders, making the most of the time. ⁶ Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verses 5 to 6)

As You said, my God and Father, we are to be very careful in what we say, how we say, and what we mean by what we say, for without knowing by means of what we say or what we do we might give a bad example to others. Therefore we are to train ourselves in scripture, and understanding so that we will be trained to be spiritual and understanding in our ways in our interactions with others Amen.

⁷ Tychicus will tell you all the news about me; he is a beloved brother, a faithful minister, and a fellow servant in the Lord.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verse 7)

Oh God, my beloved Father, I thank You for the many people that You have sent me in my life, who shared with me their experience of You in their life and in doing so helped to boost my faith in You. I thank You for such people, my God and Father Amen.

⁸ I have sent him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know how we are and that he may encourage your hearts; ⁹ he is coming with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will tell you about everything here.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verses 8 to 9)

Oh God, my blessed Father, I thank You for sending such holy people in my life. By their presence, I feel uplifted and empowered Amen.

¹⁰ Aristarchus my fellow prisoner greets you, as does Mark the cousin of Barnabas, concerning whom you have received instructions-if he comes to you welcome him.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verse 10)

My friends, brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, I also greet you all, for we are one big loving family that is growing all the time. As in these times, we are to continue welcoming each other and praying for each other's spiritual and social well-being.

¹¹ And Jesus who is called Justus greets you. These are the only ones of the circumcision among my co-workers for the kingdom of God, and they have been a comfort to me.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verse 11)

Oh God, my beloved Father, I thank You for all my friends for all the angels that You have sent in my way. Together we are circumcised in the Holy Spirit and we are brothers and sisters. My friends have also been a comfort to me. I thank You for such kind and understanding people Amen.

¹² Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you. He is always wrestling in his prayers on your behalf, so that you may stand mature and fully assured in everything that God wills.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verse 12)

Oh God my beloved and only Father may we also wrestle in intercession on other's behalf and even on our own, may we cast our burdens on to You and give them all to You and pray with an honest feeling of surrender "May Your Will be done!" I cease to worry about this relationship or financial crisis, marriage trouble or anything that may arise. Jesus this issue is for You may Your will be done and not mine Amen.

¹³ For I testify for him that he has worked hard for you and for those in Laodicea and in Hierapolis. ¹⁴ Luke, the blessed physician, and Demas greet you.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verses 13 to 14)

All the apostles and saints bless this time of prayer and sharing, for this is a continuation of what was sowed in their spirits. The Word of God, which I am meditating on and sharing with all who desire to listen to His Word. I am sharing all that God is sharing with me, in both heart mind and spirit. Amen.

¹⁵ Give my greetings to the brothers and sisters in Laodicea and to Nympha and the church in her house.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verse 15)

May the Word of God spread throughout the entire world, may this blog and those of others reach the end of the world so that nobody can say that he or she have never heard of the name of God and his loving faith and works for us Amen.

¹⁶ And when this letter has been read among you, have it read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and see that you read also the letter from Laodicea. ¹⁷ And say to Archippus, "See that you complete the task that you have received in the Lord."

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verses 16 to 17)

Oh God my blessed Father, I repeat in the words of St. Paul to the Colossians not to take this reflection lightly but to make note of the Word of God for that is what is important, and base Your life, Your Will on that of God.

¹⁸ I Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verses 16 to 17)

Oh God my Father, brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ like the Apostle Paul whom I aim to imitate in faith and in righteousness I also sign this meditation of this Letter to the Colossians. I would also leave as my Signature the following prayer.

May Your will be fulfilled in us my God and Father, may we be instruments in Your hands at Your disposal to be of help and support to others. May we be conduit that You may pass through us in order to reach others. May we be channels of Your love. In any situation, no matter how difficult it is may we offer it to God and in faith pray the following prayer:

Oh God, I did what I could do in my situation, however 'May Your Will be done' Amen.
